Privacy Policy

How your information is handled on HisabKitab ABC

1. Introduction

ABC Accounting & Business Consultants ("ABC", "we", "us"), operating the HisabKitab ABC platform, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the platform handles, how it is processed, and your rights under the Data Protection Act No. 3 of 2021 of Zambia and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2021.

2. Where Your Data Lives (Important)

HisabKitab ABC is a 100% client-side system. All accounting records, invoices, ledgers, payroll figures, exchange rates and settings you enter are stored only in your browser (localStorage) on your own device. Nothing is transmitted to, processed by, or stored on any ABC server.

Business records (invoices, expenses, journals, petty cash, fleets, employees) — stored locally in your browser.
Preferences (wallpaper, theme, dark mode, button customizations) — stored locally.
Session flag (sessionStorage.loggedIn) — erased when the tab closes.
Login journal — the on-screen "visitor log" is written to your localStorage for your own review and is not shared with ABC.

3. Your Control Over Data

Because data is yours and lives on your device: (a) use Central Data Hub → Master Backup / Export regularly; (b) clearing your browser data, using a different browser/profile, or factory-resetting the module permanently erases records; (c) you may delete any record at any time; (d) uninstalling simply requires clearing site data.

4. Third-Party Resources

CDNs (Google Fonts, Font Awesome, jsDelivr SheetJS/Chart.js) receive standard browser requests (IP, user-agent) when pages load.
WhatsApp links (wa.me) pre-fill message text — content is sent only when you press send in WhatsApp.
External references (Bank of Zambia, ZRA VSDC) open in your browser and are governed by their own policies.

5. Security

No passwords or keys are transmitted. Treat the device like a safe: lock your OS, keep the browser updated, and do not use the platform on shared/public machines. See also our Disclaimer.

6. Children

This platform is business software intended for adults acting for enterprises. It is not directed at children under 18.

7. Changes

We may revise this policy; the "Effective" date above always shows the current version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
